 Hi everyone, This challenge at AAA Cards Challenge Blog is right up my alley. As a kidney transplant patient (recipient) I know how much of a difference a card can make when you're not well. Fortunately, the kidney I received from my dad is going strong for ten years now! So I haven't been ill much the past ten years.  The stamp I used is from Lawn Fawn. Hey there, holiday hobbyist! This challenge I decided to make a sunny holidays card in the shape of... a postcard! To make the ink stick on the patterned paper that I turned into a "stamp", I used VersaMark, embossing powder and my heat gun. It's actually a bit shiny! Will you join our challenge at AAA Cards ?  Hi everyone! For this challenge I decided to go for a lovely girly card. Is it summer-ish? The most important thing is, it is CAS! Clean And Simple! The stamp with coordinating dies is from Studio Light, I think. I used distress ink (kitsch flamingo) for the background. The sentiment is from Marianne Design.  Hi everyone! This was a tough sketch challenge! As I mentioned before in my post of AAA Cards Challenge #266 I do not have a lot of stencils. And guess what... A stencil would have come in handy AGAIN this challenge! So what did I do? Did I buy a stencil. Nooooo. I got creative! I took some of my alcohol markers, looked for a color palette on pinterest and started doodling. The colours were way too dark, so I was about to throw out the card panel, until I turned it around. What you see on the card is actually THE BACK of my card panel. Oh well... I can't wait to see how you interpret the sketch!  This challenge at AAA Cards Challenge called for a large, unicolor stamp or a stencil with larger shapes. I. Have. Neither. So I created my own stencil, using a die and broad low tech tape! I used the plain leaf from the Altenew Mix Leaf Die Set and used it as my "stencil" shape. The sentiment is Frisian, it means both "a flower" and "a bouquet". I stamped it sideways to make it look like a flower stem. Here you can see our sketch for this fortnight, how will you make this work? Let's see!  Liefs, Marlies

 Yay! Another sketch challenge at AAA Cards Challenge Blog ! I didn't really feel like creating my own wreath from scratch, so I decided to go the lazy way. The best thing about this clever design, if I do say so myself, is that I didn't have to colour the entire stamp, just the edges. I used alcohol markers and it was a lot of fun! The stamp is in Dutch and it means: "is it your birthday again?". The stamps I used:  Clear stamps Party buttons - Essentials nr. 563.  Are you married or are you sensible? I love my husband so much, I would totally catch a bullet for him (and complain about te pain later). But man, aren't men weird?! They like sports like boxing and cycling and that just does not make any sense. And they believe women make no sense. I don't get it!  My husband is a fine specimen by the way. He is rather tall and helps around the house. He can fix almost everything, even though it might take a year or four. He is a great dad and an amazing spouse. Yeah. I won the husband lottery. We're married two years this year, but we've known each other for eleven years now. We met in a bar, on the dancefloor and dated for a bit then. He didn't want anything serious at the time but "wanted to stay friends". I told him "I've got plenty of friends" and we went our separate ways. That was ten years ago.  Six or seven years ago I started thinking about him A LOT again and decided it was time to be bold. I kn...

 SPRING! I longed for it. I still do, because where I live autumn takes up about 3/4 of the year... The thing I love most about spring are probably all te baby animals that are born this time of year. For this challenge I used these lovely stamps from Heffy Doodle, alcohol markers and distress ink.  Mijn lieve schoonvader is maandag jarig en hij wordt alweer 63 jaar! Inmiddels is het een beetje traditie dat ik de verjaardagskaart bij het gezamenlijke cadeau maak bij mijn schoonfamilie en het wordt altijd zeer gewaardeerd, ook door de heren.   Yay! I really enjoy sketch challenges. Do you know why? I think it's amazing to see how many different ways there are to interpret a sketch. You'll see when you go over to our blog at AAA Cards Challenge that there aren't two identical cards! I used distress ink to make the partial background on the left side of the card. The colours I used are: kitsch flamingo, abandoned coral and spiced marmalade. The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn, which I love very much!  Are you used to writing 2024 in stead of 2023 yet? I am absolutely not! Fortunately, this card did not need a date.  For the sketch challenge you can use any shape(s) in any colour(s), just keep it CAS. Since A LOT of my friends are currently pregnant, I decided to make a "Welcome Little One" card.  For the background I used Distress Ink on clear stamps and I coloured the image of the cute little bear with alcohol markers.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'm so glad you have found your way to my blog. I made a "cold" card for you this time. As you can see, I flipped the sketch! It just made more sense for my little critters to be at the bottom of the card.  I used a stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Man, I love those stamps. Unfortunately, they aren't cheap!  The little critters got their colour from alcohol markers and as always I used Versafine black ink for stamping.  Hi everyone! Black, white and gold are  - in my humble opinion - fancy colours to work with. So in stead of a Christmas card I went for a fancy card. As you can see, I did not add a sentiment. This way you can use the card for several occasions.   The black cardstock makes it not a "happy" card, so a birthday is out of the question. However, this card can be used as a sympathy card. Fall or autumn is my favorite season of all time! I love the changing colours, candles and Harry Potter marathons. I made a very simple "clean and simple" (CAS) card. There are no superstars on this card, but I love the vibe. I used the stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.
